Zen Studios will give away its new Pinball FX2 table Sorcerer’s Lair to all Steam users from June 21. Destructoid reports the table will be free indefinitely rather than as a timed promotion. If the new table puts you back in the Wizard mindset, a couple of new premium tables will arrive on the same day – Marvel Civil War, Fantastic Four and Paranormal will be $3 each.

CastleStorm, the 2D physics-based structure destruction game from Zen Studios, will be releasing on XBLA on May 29. The game will cost you 800 MSP.

Zen Studios has released a new video for Star Wars Pinball, and it features the Boba Fett table. This particular table will contain several “major moments” in the bounty hunter’s career as such as jobs given by the Galactic Empire and the Hutts. The table contains a spinner featuring Han Solo in Carbonite and the Great Pit of Carkoon featuring the tentacled Sarlacc. Star Wars Pinball is releasing next week on the following platforms: App Store, Google Play, XBL, and PSN with Cross-Buy.

According to a Twitter updated from Zen Studios, Zen Pinball 2 – expected on the Wii U eShop in December – was delayed until January. No explanation for the delay was given. As previously reported, the core game will be free, with additional tables available as premium DLC. It also boasts off-screen Game Pad play and online features.

Zen Pinball HD continues its quest to be available absolutely everywhere by swanning onto Google Play. Now Android users cna enjoy the free-to-play Pinball title which offers one built-in table and 15 licensed and themed tables as premium DLC. All tables will be on sale for 99¢ during the sim’s launch week. The Android version boasts hotseat local multiplayer and achievements, but no online or leaderboard function.

PlayStation Network favourite Zen Pinball 2 will be released for Wii U via the eShop this month. The game itself is a free download, with premium DLC offering a variety of tables including Plants vs Zombies, Captain America and Fantastic Four, with free trials available. The Wii U version boasts two forms of local multiplayer (splitscreen and hotseat), GamePad off-screen play, ranking, worldwide tournaments, and social features. Trailer through the break.

Pinball FX 2 is getting a new table based on the 2006 Marvel Civil War comic book series. Players can choose sides: Iron Man or Captain America. Player choice will determine the board’s elements such as cameo appearances from the likes of The Punisher or The Thunderbolts. A Plants vs. Zombies Pinball table will release for Zen Pinball 2, Zen Studios and PopCap have announced. Players will use the pinball to collect sunlight as well as money in order to purchase plants. The pinball table will run you $2.99 on PSN which includes Vita and PS3 Cross-Buy features. Alternatively, it will run you 240 MS Points on XBLA where the game is known as Pinball FX 2. It releases next week. A trailer is below.

The 3DS pinball game Marvel Pinball 3D will be releasing on the Nintendo eShop this Thursday, Zen Studios has announced. It’ll cost you $7.99 or €7. Pinball 3D will include four superhero-themed tables which will be based on Iron Man, Captain America, Blade and the Fantastic Four. The game will also feature online leaderboards, hot seat multiplayer, mission specific rewards and support multiple camera angles for viewing your table.

Zen Studios has announced CastleStorm, which will release through digital platforms later this year. The game is described by the firm as a “2D archery projectile warfare and 2D physics-based structure destruction game,” where players participating in “real time strategy, resource management, and a variety of different gameplay scenarios.” The game features: medieval ballista weaponry, Morningstars, Apple Grenades, Homing Eagles, and flying sheep which players will use to stop the onslaught of enemies trying to capture their flag and destroy their castle.
