The Bureau: XCOM Declassified has two new DLC offerings available through Steam: Code Breakers and the Light Plasma Pistol. In Code Breakers a top secret government communications facility responsible for intercepting and decoding the enemy’s transmissions has gone radio-silent. In a desperate attempt to turn the tides of the secret war, Special Agent Carter and his squad must investigate the incident, eliminate any threats, and make contact with personnel in order to bring the facility back online and make sense of the mysterious code. It will run you $2.99 and the Light Plasma Pistol will run you 99 cents.

Some staffers from 2K Marin, devs on The Bureau, held an Ask Me Anything on reddit an hour ago, and despite the fact that a lot of folks tend to tie the identity of the XCOM franchise to a gameplay genre that this prequel is looking to skirt a bit, there was a question about the canonicity of next week’s title.

Good news for my fellow keyboard warriors; Shack News reports the pC version of The Bureau: XCOM Declassified dispenses with that awkward radial-menu stuff in favour of a mouse-friendly list of options. Well done, 2K Marin. Game pad and console users will still have access to a radial power menu.
