Star Ocean: Second Evolution gets PAL date
Square Enix has announced that PSP RPG Star Ocean: Second Evolution is due for release in PAL territories on Feb 13th.
Second Evolution is completely remastered and features a revised game engine, improved battle system and fully-voiced, all-new animated scenes displayed in 16:9 widescreen.
“2009 is set to be a landmark year for the STAR OCEAN series, I’m delighted that new fans can continue to experience this classic series with the release of Star Ocean: Second Evolution for PSP and I hope players are excitedly looking forward to the forthcoming release of Star: The Last Hope,” said John Yamamoto, Square Enix president and CEO.

Square updates Q1 line-up
Square’s put out a press release confirming its first quarter games for next year, confirming a few new DS titles for the period.
Star Ocean: Second Evolution (PSP), Star Ocean: The Last Hope (360), Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride (DS), and Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume (DS) will all make it out before March next year.

Star Ocean: Second Evolution out in Europe next spring
Square’s announced this morning that PSP RPG Star Ocean: Second Evolution will release in Europe in the spring.

Star Ocean PSP games dated for the US
According to this Forever-Fantasy piece, the two Star Ocean PSP remakes listed in Square Enix’s European E3 press release have been dated for America but its US counterpart.
Star Ocean: First Departure will be out on October 21 in the US, followed by Star Ocean: Second Evolution on January 6 next year.
No confirmation on this for Europe as yet, but PSP’s region-free, English-speaking kids. Just saying.

Square Enix’s E3 line-up includes two new Star Ocean PSP games
Square’s announced its E3 line-up, and it contains a few surprises.
As well as The Last Remnant, Infinite Undiscovery and Star Ocean: The Last Hope, the firm will show Star Ocean: First Departure and Star Ocean: Second Evolution, both for PSP.
Taito’s Exit DS and The Legend of Kage 2, again for DS, will also be shown.
Chrono Trigger, Dragon Quest The Chapters of the Chosen, FFIV and iPod game Song Summoner: The Unsung Heroes make up the rest of the list,
FFXIII isn’t mentioned, but we know it’s going to have presence at the LA show next week.
