Merchandise isn’t easy for an indie like Romino, which is why it’s very pleased to announce a collectible miniature of Clunk, one of the most popular characters from its side-view MOBA, Awesomenauts. Now available for pre-order at Game Toys, the €24 vinyl figure needs 1,000 pre-purchases to go into production. See a video and some photos of the proposed figure through the break.

Romino has written in to let us know it’s nearly finished a new map for unusual MOBA Awesomenauts. The new map will be on show at the Indie Megabooth at Pax East as well as at GDC’s Indiego exhibition. Boasting a whole new layout, the map is set on Leon’s homeworld, Aiguillon, and is centred on a stealth orb granting temporary invisibility as well as hosting plenty of hiding spots. In other Awesomenauts news, two new skins, Coco McFly and Bionic Raelynn, are available now. Awesomenauts is nourished by a grass roots community eSports scene and is available on Steam.

Romino Games has released a new patch for the PC version of its unique take on the MOBA genre, Awesomenauts. Version 1.13 brings a number of fixes and balance tweaks, but more importantly it includes a new skin for Clunk developed in collaboration with Mojang. Interestingly, you can’t buy a Minecraft Creeper skin – you have to earn it, by beating somebody else with one. The development team will be playing online for the next few days, so see if you can score one. Hit the break for an artwork showing the new skin.
