Red Alert PS3 “announced too soon,” says EA
Red Alert 3 senior producer, Amer Ajami has said the reason why PS3 owners have had so long to wait for a Command and Conquer port is simply because it was announced too early.
“I think we just announced it too soon to be perfectly frank,” Amer Ajami told CVG.
Apparently, it was the development team’s single core engine that was the reason for the delay: “It just took us longer,” said Ajami.

Red Alert 3 PS3 before Christmas, to support 1080p
Speaking to Videogamer, producer and C&C TV presenter David Silverman has seemingly confirmed that the PS3 version of Red Alert 3 will ship before Christmas and will pack console-specific features such as 1080p resolution and “the high-defness of Blu-Ray”.
“If you’re a PS3 owner and you don’t own a PC and you don’t have an Xbox 360 you don’t have to write on your Christmas or Hanukkah list that you want to have an Xbox,” he said.
“You can play Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, bide your time and you’ll be very pleased.
“We’re looking at doing some really cool things with the PS3 version. Since it is shipping later we’re putting in a lot of cool content and really taking advantage of both the 1080p nature and the high-defness of Blu-Ray and also the fact that it can hold just so much more space.”
The PS3 version was put on hold in June.

EA details fixes for broken Red Alert 3 serial keys
As reported by Joystiq, EA’s moved to fix a couple of serial key issues with Red Alert 3.
Some people were getting their key pinged back with “invalid,” while others were shy of a digit for their 20-number code.
From this post on the EA forums:
- Invalid key issue: EA says the issue should be resolved by now. It involved a “small amount” of keys not being pre-loaded to the company’s “backend.” Coincidentally, the same place where customers probably felt like they were kicked.
- Manual has 19 digits instead of 20: Either click here to contact customer service, or resolve the issue by trial and error. The only thing missing is the last digit, which is either “a number from 0 – 9 or a letter from A – Z.” That leaves only 36 possibilities.
So there you are. Go get strategizing.

Red Alert 3 gets Allied and Soviet co-op movies
After the break. The game looks fantastic from where we’re sitting, but we’re sitting in a place where Tom Clancy’s EndWar’s pretty much amazing, so we’re going to have to be properly nukified by an RA3 playtest to be diverting our strategy attention this Christmas, if we’re being honest.
Take a look.
