Rovio’s plans for porting Angry Birds Space are just as ambitious as they were with the original, Rovio’s chief marketing Peter Vesterbacka has said the firm would like to see Angry Birds Space “on all the screens,” but due to limited resources, it focused on Android, iOS, Mac and PC for launch with other platforms coming “shortly after.”

Rovio has reportedly said in a Finnish newspaper this morning it’s to plan an IPO for the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in the next two years. Speaking to Tekniikka&Talous weekly, CEO Peter Vesterbacka said the Angry Birds company was aiming to have market capitalization similar to Disney. “That is the target. There is no reason why we should not be able to build a company of that size,” he said (via Reuters), adding revenues from the company for this year would be $100 million compared to $10 million in 2010.

Rovio has announced that Angry Birds has been downloaded 500 million times since its release on December 11, 2009. “It’s more than any game ever before,” said the firm’s marketing boss Peter Vesterbacka, who added that the firm’s next goal is to reach 1 billion downloads. Earlier this year, Rovio raised $42 million from venture capital firms, and has expanded the franchise into toys as well as baby and pet products. Via Reuters.

Rovio’s confirmed that Angry Birds has now hit 250 million downloads on all mobile platforms the game has appeared on. The news was confirmed by founder Peter Vestebacka in an interview with TechCrunch. Vestebacka also mentioned a location-based platform known as Angry Birds Magic. Rovio’s Peter Vesterbacka, speaking on a panel at the SXSW conference in Austin, Texas, this week, has confirmed that Angry Birds has now been downloaded more than 100 million times He reiterated that the game has 40 million monthly active users, who spend 200 million minutes a day playing the game across various devices.
