Capcom confirms the Nargacuga returns in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
Monster Hunter fans might recognise the Nargacuga. Capcom’s beast is returning to the series in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, after being the main enemy in 2008′s Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on PSP.

Slay the Nargacuga with Monster Hunter Freedom Unite tomorrow

A brand new free quest for Monster Hunter Freedom Unite arrives tomorrow, July 17, and it’s a challenge quest.
The two-player online challenge has you tasked with slaying the Nargacuga, who is like a Tigrex, but meaner.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite DLC quest is live

The new DLC Quest for Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is live, according to Capcom Unity.
Looks like you will have to fight off some Felynes and Melynx.
If you beat the quests, you get tickets to make a new shirt/armor called the Hunter T-Shirt.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite passes 3.5 million units in Japan

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite PSP The Best have now shipped more than 3.5 million units between them in Japan, Capcom said today.
The game initially released in March 2008.
The next in the series, Monster Hunter 3(tri-), will ship for Wii in Japan on August 1.

First bit of DLC for Monster Hunter Freedom Unite arrives

Capcom will release Monster Hunter Freedom Unite downloadable content, for free, every Friday for the next few months starting today.
Today’s “Epic Hunting Quest” is “The Triumvirate of the Sands” which features monsters Daimyo Hermitaur, Tigrex, and Plesioth.
To get the DLC, just fire up your PSP and click Download from the start menu.

Euro PSN update, July 2 – Monster Hunter Freedom Unite

The European PSN update is not too shabby this week, and has loads of add-on content.
PSP users get Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, Numblast and Rock Band Unplugged DLC. Also, there’s plenty of Tiger Woods to go around, along with more MotorStorm: Pacific Rift content.

Capcom officially announces Gathering Hall for Monster Hunter Freedom Unite

Capcom has officially announced The Gathering Hall, the UK’s first and only dedicated Monster Hunter gaming center to be opened on July 3 at the Lazarides Gallery in London.
Three floors of space should be plenty of room for you to mingle and enjoy the free sodas, art, exclusive downloadable content, and people playing Monster Hunter on Ad-Hoc.
Hours of operation are from 10am to 8pm, seven days a week and will remain so until September 1.
The Gathering Hall is open to everyone for free, providing they own a PSP and a copy of Monster Hunter and it’s only a stone’s throw away from Tottenham Court Road tube station in central London.
Monster Hunter is the biggest game in Japan by far, outselling Pokemon and Wii Fit last year.

Here’s the Monster Hunter Freedom Unite PSP bundle for Europe

The Monster Hunter Freedom Unite PSP bundle for Europe has been screened.
Well, the box at least.
Inside that pretty box though, is a Mystic Silver PSP-3000, a carry-pouch, screen wipe, branded skin cover, the game, and a dragon pendant.
Expect it to land in stores on June 26.

US PSN update, May 21 – inFamous and Monster Hunter demos

Highlights from the US PS store update this week include demos for inFamous, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.

Monster Hunter Freedom 2G ships 3 million units

Capcom’s announced that Monster Hunter Freedom 2G and Monster Hunter Freedom 2G PSP the Best have shipped three million units between them in Japan since last March.
Last year, Monster Hunter Freedom 2G sold more than any other game in the Japanese market, the now infamous adhoc “Party for PlayStation Portable” pushing the game hard.
March 11, 2009 is the fifth anniversary of the release of the first game in the Monster Hunter series, which to has sold a cumulative 8.5 million units.
The game will be heading Stateside this spring, retitled Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.

Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G confirmed for Euro release
According to this Eurogamer piece, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G will release in Europe next spring.
The title will be renamed Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.
Sporting around 500 hours of monster-grappling action, the game also features four-way online co-op.
Whether or not Capcom can rack up another 2.4 million sales in Europe remains to be seen.
