LEGO Batman 2 insert shows up in new LEGO Super Hero sets
Inserts included in a new collection of LEGO Super Hero toys pretty much confirm what everyone already knew: LEGO Batman 2 is in development for multiple systems. While the new LEGO sets are due for an official release in 2012, some US store are already stocking the toys, the boxes of which contain ads for the Warner game inside the pages of the instruction manual. Called LEGO Batman 2- Super Heroes, both the Bat and Justice League pals Superman and Wonder Woman are shown. More LEGO sets are to include Green Lantern and villains such as Lex Luthor and The Joker, so it’s being speculated that they will, in turn, pop up in the new videogame. The first word on a LEGO Batman sequel showed up over the summer via an LA Times feature on Warner. A release date along with an official announcement has yet to be made, but the game is expected sometime next year on 3DS, PC, PS3, Vita, Wii, and Xbox 360.
Thanks, MCV.

Rumor: Picture of Xbox 360 Elite holiday bundle leaked

An insider who shall remain nameless – because Jostiq won’t tell – has sent the site a picture of a rumored Xbox 360 Elite holiday bundle.
As you can see by the picture, it has Pure and LEGO Batman with it, along with a rather uninteresting slogan: “It’s More Fun Time on Xbox 360″.
We’ll mail Microsoft about it, but don’t expect anyone there to cave into our demands.

TT: We won’t take the piss with Lego games
Lego Batman producer Rich Earl has told EG that you’re only going to get an appropriate amount of Lego games per year from TT. No one wants to take the piss, do they?
“There’s an expectation now that there would be a Lego game per year, and we certainly feel that one or two games would be the right amount per year, otherwise there’d be a saturation of Lego games and they’d lose the charm,” he said.
“We’re also conscious that we’re making games for young kids. We don’t want to take the piss out of the consumer and end up making any old rubbish. We’re hoping people feel our games are of a high standard and we want to continue doing that.”

Lego Batman to get own TV series
Speaking with GI at Games Convention last week, Traveller’s Tales producer Rich Earl revealed that Lego Batman is set for it’s own TV series.
“We’re looking to do… a Lego Batman series,” he said.
“I think they’re looking at doing a one-off initially,” he went on. “And they’re basically able to utilise the assets, because our team has brought Lego characters to life.”
The cartoon “will use the [game] engine” and is “being done by a separate studio in the States,” confirmed Earl, who also revealed the initial episode will be 20 minutes long.

First images of Lego Bruce Wayne and Poison Ivy released
Worthplaying has them. We’re trying to maintain enthusiasm, but this is starting to look like a Lego game with Batman characters, as opposed to a Lego games with Indiana Jones or Star Wars people.
Go figure.
