It seems that alongside its constant background recording of the last 5 minutes of gameplay, the Xbox One’s DVR will automatically record gameplay every time an achievement is unlocked. The information was revealed by Xbox Australia product manager Adam Pollington in an interview with YouTuber ChampChong at EB Games Expo.

During his Eurogamer Expo talk Microsoft Corporate Vice President Phil Harrison showed off Xbox One’s game recording features in a short demonstration of the console’s Upload Studio. Although no specifics were given as to the length of recording time available, he stated that players can record “as much or as little as they want.”

Unity Technologies announced today during Build Conference in San Francisco that it has added Xbox One support for Kinect, SmartGlass support to its development tools and has also extended its commitment to Windows 8 the W8 Phone. The Xbox One version of the game engine will also feature cloud computing support, and developers being published by Microsoft Studios will be able to use Unity free. The firm will release the commercial version of its Store Add-on for Windows later this summer, and it will also be waiving the $1,500 license fee for licensed Unity Pro 4 developers as part of its Microsoft deal.
