As per the October schedule, North American PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive a copy of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning for their Instant Collection this week. It’s good timing, as the IP will go up for sale before the end of the year, and there’s a small chance it might be removed from sale. There’s also a small discount on Flashback, Vector Cell’s remake of the classic platform adventure.

The Steam page for Vector Cell’s Flashback remake now shows an October 1 release date. The $12 port is coming to Mac and PC, but does not seem to have any additional features over the Xbox 360 version, which is already available. The side-scrolling adventure is coming to PlayStation 3 later, too.

Flashback, a remake of the 1992 title, will be released on August 21 through the XBLA Summer of Arcade, for 800 Microsoft Points. It will also release on PSN and PC digitally this autumn. Ubisoft said the original Core-Team revamped the classic side-scrolling sci-fi action/adventure, and in addition to the updated version of the game, the original Flashback will be included with the revamp. Far Cry Classic will be available as part of the Summer of Arcade program on Xbox Live. A date wasn’t added in the press release, but it’s the original single-player game. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons will also be part of the program. Far Cry will run you 560 MSP, and Borthers $15.00/1200 MSP. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, Flashback, and Charlie Murder will also be included. It all kicks off August 7 so expect more titles to be announced. A video is below.

Microsoft has cut the price of Gears of War 2 expansion pack Dark Corners from 1600 to 1200 MS Points. That’s £10.20 or €14.40.
That’s not all, as the All Fronts Collection, which features the aforementioned Dark Corners, Flashback, Combustible and Snowblind will be made available as a digital download from Xbox Live for a mere 15 quid.
Why the price cut? “Because it felt like the right thing to do,” said Epic’s Rod Fegusson to IGN. That’s why.

Epic will release all Gears of War 2 DLC content into one retail package titled the Gears of War 2: All Fronts Collection on July 28.
It contains previously released DLC Combustible, Flashback, Snowblind as well as Dark Corners, which contains seven new multiplayer map packs along with a deleted campaign called Road to Ruin, which has Dom and Marcus returning to the Locust Hollow and features a stealth mode.
Other contents include an introductory video, a premium theme, poster, and strategy guide.
The Gears of War 2: All Fronts Collection will run you $19.99, and details for the Road to Ruin section are posted from the press release after the break.
Dark Corners will also be made available individually for 1600 MS Points the same day.
