F.E.A.R. 2 trailer is frightening

Well, sort of. There’s a fair amount of twitching and blood in there, which should suit pre-modern horror fans down to the ground.
Slick, though. After the break. The Warner FPS is actually out for PC, PS3 and 360 next week.

F.E.A.R. 2 ban overturned in Australia
According to this IGN report, Warner Bros. has had F.E.A.R. 2 successfully classified MA15+ in Australia, overturning last month’s ban and putting the title back on schedule for a February 2009 release.
Warner appealed against the ban by submitting the game to the Australian Classification Review Board, which agreed to release it with no cuts.
Almost as if the OFLC is heavy-handed and over zealous.
More through there.

Report: F.E.A.R. 2 banned in Australia (Update)
Update: It’s true. See here.
Gamasutra’s reporting that F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin’s been refused classification in Australia.
The ruling effectively means the game has been banned from sale.
The OFLC’s website doesn’t show that the game’s been rated as yet: do a search and see for yourself.
The shooter sequel’s scheduled for European launch next February for PC, PS3 and 360.

New F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin trailer
Over at Shacknews. This video looks at the game’s story, which has always scared us witless if we’re honest. The first one was great, this one looks like it will follow suit.
Game’s out for 360, PS3 and 360 on February 10. Check it out.
