Despite Zynag’s prevailing issues with closures, financials, and exiting executives, the firm’s FarmVille 2 is doing rather well. According to an inforgraphic released by the firm, the social farming simulation game – which launched in September – has 40 million monthly active users and 8 million daily users.

FarmVille 2 is now available on Facebook and through Zynga Online. It’s the first 3D game from the social developer and comes with many updates to the previous version including additions such as crafting, animal husbandry, and friend can be hired as Farm Helpers. During its Zynga Unleashed event today, Zynga announced a new social multiplayer platform called Zynga With Friends. The platform will include live, synchronous multiplayer which can be accessed across all platforms which support the firm’s titles. It also announced its next “Ville” which is just titled The Ville.

A report on TechCrunch states Zynga is currently testing the sequel to FarmVille in the Philippines under the codename Big Harvest. Word of the game, currently in beta, was sent to the site via a tipster who also sent along a screenshot of the social game. According to the source, the game contains revamped graphics as well as gameplay changes such as growing crops to feed your farm critters. Zynga declined comment on the game, but said it’s always “looking for ways to bring players the best experience,” and “continuously innovating” its titles. The original FarmVille is staill a major cash cow for the firm, and made up 29% of the company’s online revenue in the last fiscal quarter.
