PSP Go CPU speed confused with USB data

Over the weekend, some people got het up at the prospect of PSP Go having a 480Mhz CPU. It doesn’t. The confusion arose from a figure taken from a stats page that, in fact, references something to do with the machine’s USB port.

AMD spinning off manufacturing business
According to this WSJ report, AMD will announce today a large-scale restructuring of its business that will see manufacturing moved outside the company into a JV.
The new venture, which will make chips for AMD and other companies, will take over facilities that include large AMD factories in Germany, with funding provided by investment entities associated with the government of Abu Dhabi.

Delayed Phenoms to be shown at CeBit
AMD’s will show its upcoming Phenom CPUs (currently showing less than monster (rumoured) benchmarks) at CeBit 2008, so say company sources here.
“Due to the TLB (translation lookaside buffer) bug, AMD has postponed the launch of its upcoming quad-core Phenom 9700 CPU to the second quarter of 2008, however the company is planning to showcase the CPU at CeBIT 2008 in March along with 9900 and 9100e models, according to sources at motherboard makers.”
CeBit is Germany’s gigantic annual computer fair, to be held this year in Hannover on from March 4-9.
