Machinarium was released for Vita in the US back in March, and come next month, those who reside in Europe can get in on the fun. The lovely indie game, which I personally enjoyed immensely on PC, will come with all enhancements added with the PS3 version, an improved zoom feature, and PSN leaderboards. Be sure and give it a go come May 1 for €5.99.

Machinarium is heading to Vita around the end of the month, Amanita Design has announced on the PS Blog. The lovely indie game contains all the enhancements from the PS3 version, along with added features specific to the handheld. The game can be controlled with the analog sticks and buttons, and also through the touch screen and rear touch panel if you prefer. The zoom feature has been improved, and PSN leaderboards have been integrated. Machinarium will be available in North America on March 26 for $6.99. Surely, it’s coming to Europe as well, but we will check and make sure for you.

A clever sort posting on the EU PS Blog hazarded a guess that September’s PlayStation Plus content would include Machinarium, Amanita’s charming adventure. “Give the man a cookie, he’s 100% right,” Sony’s Ross McGrath replied. The point-and-clicker first released in 2009 but is yet to make it to a PlayStation console; the ESRB has listed it as a Vita release. Expect an announcement and word of US release soon.
