Sony pulls Persona 4 Arena off European PlayStation Network

Thursday, 22nd May 2014 19:55 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Persona 4 Arena is no longer available on the European PlayStation Network.

The fact it was pulled was noticed by a a PSN user in the comments of the PlayStation Blog.

“Persona 4 Arena has been removed from PS Store on request from the publisher,” PS Store team member Jawad Ashraf replied. “I haven’t been given any information as to why, just that we obliged with the request.

“Sorry I can’t be more transparent.”

Persona 4 Arena was released last spring and is published in Europe by Zen United. Atlus published the game in Japan and North America.

Thanks, Siliconera.

    i like the all things digital, poweh of da cloud and stuff…. but please publishers, change your policies so that if something is uploaded to steam, psn, xbox live, ect, it stays there forever. How do you expect us to trust you with our wallets if stuff disappears like that.

    I understand that a particular company has particular rights over an IP, but change those policies so that the titles stay on the particular marketplace in tact. If a company goes bankrupt and there is no one who should collect the money from the sell give them to charity but DONT Touch the titles we’ve bought.

    “..but DONT Touch the titles we’ve bought.”

    It’s not entirely clear form the story, but my interpretation is that you can no longer purchase this title from the EU PSN Store.

    My expectation is that if you already have purchased then you should still be able to play it and/or re-download it.

    Can anyone confirm if that’s the case?

    @wamp ,
    “DONT Touch the titles we’ve bought.”
    The buyer can easily sue Sony for a ton if that is the case. And I don’t think so. New buyers are stopped, but already bought copies could be downloaded from the download list.

    it sucks to have a title removed but i think maybe its because there is a new version of the game coming out soon and this may of been a way to stop complaints of people buying the wrong version.
    but as mentioned before even after removal from sale anyone who had purchased it can still redownload, at least for as long as sony decide to support ps3′s psn store

    The new version has a new storyline, which is a huge part of the P4A games.
