Lone Survivor: The Director’s Cut releases on PS3, Vita in Europe next week

After a slight delay, Jasper Byrne’s Lone Survivor: The Director’s Cut will be available on PS3 and Vita September 25 in Europe. The Sony exclusive Director’s Cut’ edition developed and published by Curve Studios and Curve Digital will be released in North America “in the next two weeks.”

    Confusing, muddy, grindy and mildly interesting.

    Its a half decent attempt to make a 2D Silent Hill with all the strange that implies. Its a little too much on the esoteric side of things with being willingly wooly all the way through.

    So what I’m saying is, know what it is before you go into it.

    @1 I kind of agree with you, but I really found it boring the first “hours”. And it’s abusively copying Silent Hill in many aspects (even sounds seem to be extracted from Silent Hill). The pixelated looks are algo exaggerated, it made my head hurt… I just wanted to make the window small so these pixels could go away, but it’s impossible, it’s the “idea”. One way to use pixel art is FEZ, one way not to use it is this game. Anyway, indie is indie, good is good, bad is bad.
