Devil Survivor 2 DS needs your help in order to be released in Europe

Devil Survivor 2 may finally get a European release, according to Ghostlight Games, but in order to make sure the product is commercially viable it plans to distribute it exclusively through its online store to those who pre-order it.

The firm said by releasing the game this way, it will know how many to press, localize, and all that jazz so that the costs of production will be covered.

A minimum amount of pre-orders will be needed within a month's time in order for the game to be manufactured. Should enough interest not be garnered, those who have been wanting will be out of luck, unfortunately. So spread the word far and wide.

"We realize that we’re asking for a huge amount of trust and support from our fans on this one, but we know that you are a very special lot and you all seem to fully appreciate what we’re trying to achieve in bringing over JRPGs like DS2," Ghostlight wrote on its blog. "We simply couldn’t do what we’re doing without you and with your continued support for the Ghostlight cause we’re hoping we can give DS2 its best shot at getting a European release.

"Some of you have said you’d rather wait for a potential release of the new Devil Survivor 2 3DS remake, which is fair enough, but for anyone who’s sitting on the fence, Devil Survivor 2 would be the perfect game for any of you looking for your SRPG fix after finishing Fire Emblem and Devil Survivor Overclocked."

More on how you can pre-order the game will be announced next week.
