Tuesday, 20th March 2012 15:50 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Capcom has released Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City in the US on PS3 and Xbox 360, and reviews for the latest entry in the franchise have started going live, with Joystiq the first out of the gate.

The site handed the shooter 2 out of 5 stars for its effort.

Get the scores below and watch the launch trailer through here.

Game’s out in Europe on March 23 and a PC version will be released in May.

More scores will be added as reviews go live, and the current Metascore for the game stands at 51. Look for it to fluctuate as more reviews are submitted to MetaCritic.

@2 yea your spot on it does look bad

but its weird why capcom didn’t develop this game themselves like resident evil past with a lot of the elements that made game so popular in the first place just ending up giving them to slant 6 who doesn’t have the best gaming record !!

What a surprise. Bad developer makes bad game.

Wait a minute, Slant Six was developing this? Oh well, suddenly the reason for the low scores become obvious.

I feel bad about saying that, but Slant Six have never proved themselves to be good game-makers. Hope they get it right one day.
