Reviews for Army of Two: The 40th Day are starting to go live, so we’ve pulled them into one post for your convenience.

Looks like it’s getting decent scores all around, with the lowest so far being Game Informer.

Given an 8.5 in its first published review, and hailed as “Bad Boys meets 2012″ by IGN, the shooter’s out today in the US and will hit European retail outlets on January 15.

We’ll update the list as more reviews come in, so keep an eye on this space.

A 6.5 and a 7 is enough to put me off.
Didn’t get the first one and will most likely skip this one.
Too many good games out there atm.

The PS3 review is the most accurate one I’ve read so far, even though I am technically supposed to say things like that. Nail>head.

Sounds a lot like the first one. Average.

Couldn’t even bare to finish the first one. Really didn’t like it. Not that it was an awfully designed game, but it just rubbed me the wrong way.

I suppose it didn’t help that I’d just finished playing Gears 2 at the time.

As hardcore gamers we’re not very friendly towards 7/10 rates games Gekidami, but that doesn’t make them shit, just average. It’s not like the game was completely without merit.

In it’s defense, although the first one was not exactly ground-breaking it was quite fun playing it co-op split screen with a mate (who bought the game). So i can imagine it’s just more of the same.
From memory the first game came out at a time when there wasn’t much about hence why my friend bought it. As ‘reask’ said though, there are too many good games about to come out so it’s wiser to save ur money for them.

@Psychotext. A 7/10 is an ‘above average’ score. 5/10 is an ‘average’ score.
Unfortunatly, the scores listed above are from ‘limp wristed’ reviewers who wouldn’t know a decent game if one came up and bit them on their arse.

@akrillic: Are you new to games reviewing or something? The scale pretty much goes from 5-10 unless the title is utterly broken.

Actually… I believe the average review score for a 360 / PS3 game is somewhere around 70%, so this title might be slightly above average even. ;)

@Psychotext: If that is the case, then why are those games not rated on a 1 out of 5 basis? If a games is truley ‘average’ then the reviewer should give a score that reflects that.

‘Edge’ magazine and ‘Teletexts, Gamecentral’ use a far more rational scoring system, where a score of ’5′ means that the game is of average quality and thus the numbers 1-4 are not made redundant.

Also i suggest that if there is anyone out there who still reads ’1up’ to stop, lest their eyeballs fall out.

yeah, Edge scores are actually like that.

I’m not agreeing with it akrillic, it’s just the way it is.

Good to hear someone refrencing Teletext Gamecentral. I dont get Edges reviews personally i mean if you enjoy a game why give it a low score.
