  • Yakuza 3 sells more than 300,000 in first week

    Yakuza 3 dev lead Toshihiro Nagoshi’s confirmed on this blog that PS3-exclusive Yakuza 3 has sold over 300,000 units in its first week. Famitsu estimates are putting day one sales at 232,000, according to this Jeuxactu piece. The Sega game will only be released in Japan.

  • Sega to release eight weeks of free Yakuza 3 content

    Japan will not only be getting Yakuza 3 on February 26, but a ton of free DLC to go with it. On March 5, Sega will start rolling out eight weeks of free updates equaling out to 29 pieces of content, filled with item packs and special missions. Too bad only Japan gets it.

    Sega’s posted the Yakuza 3 demo on the Japanese PSN. It’ll cost you 1,256Mb of hard drive space. Obviously, you can only get it if you’ve got a Japanese account, and there’s no danger of this coming west. So enjoy. If you can.
