Zen Pinball 2 now has a solid North American release date on Wii U of March 21, having been delayed from an expected December launch. The eShop release is free and comes bundled with a couple of tables; the rest are offered as premium DLC, but all of them have free trials. Available tables include Zen Classics, Marvel characters and Plants vs Zombies. Check out a trailer through the break. Zen Pinball 2 is also available on PlayStation 3 and Vita.

Zen Studios has released a new video for Star Wars Pinball, and it features the Boba Fett table. This particular table will contain several “major moments” in the bounty hunter’s career as such as jobs given by the Galactic Empire and the Hutts. The table contains a spinner featuring Han Solo in Carbonite and the Great Pit of Carkoon featuring the tentacled Sarlacc. Star Wars Pinball is releasing next week on the following platforms: App Store, Google Play, XBL, and PSN with Cross-Buy.

Star Wars Pinball tables have been dated for multiple platfortms. The DLC for Zen Pinball 2 features tables based on The Empire Strikes Back, Boba Fett and The Clone Wars.

Nintendo has posted details of a rather scant eShop update this week. Zen Pinball 2 and Batman: Arkham City Armoured Edition lead on Wii U, and then there’s something about vegetables on 3DS.

According to a Twitter updated from Zen Studios, Zen Pinball 2 – expected on the Wii U eShop in December – was delayed until January. No explanation for the delay was given. As previously reported, the core game will be free, with additional tables available as premium DLC. It also boasts off-screen Game Pad play and online features.

PlayStation Network favourite Zen Pinball 2 will be released for Wii U via the eShop this month. The game itself is a free download, with premium DLC offering a variety of tables including Plants vs Zombies, Captain America and Fantastic Four, with free trials available. A Plants vs. Zombies Pinball table will release for Zen Pinball 2, Zen Studios and PopCap have announced. Players will use the pinball to collect sunlight as well as money in order to purchase plants. The pinball table will run you $2.99 on PSN which includes Vita and PS3 Cross-Buy features. Alternatively, it will run you 240 MS Points on XBLA where the game is known as Pinball FX 2. It releases next week. A trailer is below.

Zen Studios has announced Zen Pinball 2 for a spring launch for PSN and PlayStation Vita. The game will also be a free update for those who bought Zen Pinball 1 and Marvel Pinball. ZP2 will come with cross-platform support between PS3 and Vita, meaning users will get both version at no extra charge. The game will release alongside Marvel Pinball: Avengers Chronicles.
