Acquire’s action epic, Way of the Samurai 4, has finally been confirmed for a long-awaited US release. XSEED will deliver via the PlayStation Network on August 4 for $40, according to Destructoid. This latest entry in the franchise has some neat elements; it’s open world; it has online versus multiplayer; it allows for character customisation; and you can even populate the world with AI-controlled custom enemies. We’re expecting it in Europe in October, thanks to Rising Star.

XSEED has confirmed on the US PS Blog that Spike and Acquire’s Way of the Samurai 4 will release in North America on PS3 – fully uncut and uncensored. This must have been the game the firm was teasing last night with that bout of poetry. A release date and pricing will be announced at a later date.
