The newest story downloadable content for sleeper hit Sleeping Dogs is ready to go for you if you’ve got the game on Steam. Year of the Snake will have Wei fight some cultists who think the world is going to end on the Chinese New Year and are trying to “cleanse the city” to earn their salvation. Now that’s a party. The pack costs $6.99. A trailer for the DLC is below.

The previously announced Wheels of Fury DLC for Sleeping Dogs has arrived on Steam. The pack gives the player “full control of the ultimate prototype supercar”, the DZS-90, to drive around Hong Kong. The DLC sees players trying to uncover the story behind Dr. Tang’s secret prototype through five new missions which will also add upgrades to the vehicle. The DZS-90 in its final form includes “twin, concealed roof-mounted machine guns, 4-wheel steering, an electronic magnetic pulse, boosted speed and armor”, and new styling options. It will run you $3.99.

Sleeping Dogs developer United Front is hiring network programmers in order to develop “multiplayer features of [its] next-gen console title”. The listing, spotted by NeoGAF and posted on OXM, reads: “We are looking for an experienced network programmer to work with our online team to develop the multiplayer features of our next-gen console title.” The position notes multiplayer experience is needed. Have look yourself and go ahead and start mulling around whether you you think it’s a sequel to Sleeping Dogs for Xbox 720 and PS4 or something else entirely.

RAGE will be the recipient of DLC next week on PSN with the long-rumored The Scorchers DLC. Sleeping Dogs players will also be privy to the Zodiac Tournament Pack. This is according to the latest PlayStation Blogcast over on the US PS Blog, which Joystiq listened in on. Details on the RAGE DLC weren’t noted, but Trophies outed point to Ultra Nightmare Difficulty and a new job. Sleeping Dogs DLC will contain a new island, more fight moves, and new duds.

Sleeping Dogs DLC arrives today courtesy of the Dragon Master Pack. The pack includes the Triad Enforcer Pack, Police Protection Pack, Martial Arts Pack, GSP Pack, and the Deep Undercover Pack. Already available on Steam and XBL, it will run you 640 MS Points or £5.10 when it arrives on PSN later today. Watch the video below.

Believe it or not, Sleeping Dogs isn’t all shoving people’s heads through fish tanks, air conditioning vents, toilets and stove tops; you’ll have to do some police work, too. This walkthrough video shows Wei on the trail of a serial killer.

Square Enix has launched a new promotional website for United Front’s open-world Hong Kong action epic Sleeping Dogs, the Night Market. According to CVG, which apparently helped produce the website, the site includes “an Easter egg treasure, teasers, pre-order bonuses and DLC details, plus an exclusive Takedown video for you to unlock showcasing some of the game’s most brutal finishing moves”, but I couldn’t solve the puzzle so whatevs. Other content includes videos on racing and combat, faction profiles, and a Ryan Wick remix video of The Game’s No More Fun and Games. Sleeping Dogs hits PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in mid-August – just two more weeks to wait.

Square has released a new video for United Front’s Sleeping Dogs, which highlights the shooting mechanic in the game. Watch as our protagonist Wei shoots at enemies and in turn gets shot at himself. Game’s out on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 next month.

Those who have held on to their Just Cause 2 save file and plan on purchasing Sleeping Dogs will be able to download a Just Cause 2-themed clothing set for use United Front’s Hong Kong actioner. It doesn’t matter whether you played it on PC, PS3, or Xbox 360. As long as you have a save file, you’ll get the duds along with a boost to your hijack abilities which, according to Eurogamer, will “allow you to perform stunt-style takeovers of enemy vehicles from an even greater distance.” Awesome. As if you didn’t get enough of Sleeping Dogs footage earlier, Square has released a new walkthough video for the game which featuring producer Dan Sochan. In it, the viewer is taken to the back room of the Golden Koi restaurant where Mrs Chu has revenge on her mind. Apparently, a close friend of hers was murdered at her own wedding, and the protagonist Wei knows the identity of one of the gunmen. Check it out below. United Front’s Sleeping Dogs hits PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 next month.

United Front and Square Enix have released a new trailer for Sleeping Dogs, which features George St-Pierre, who was brought into development to ensure the combat system was authentic. Watch him kick and do other martial arts things below. Game’s out next month.
