Lord of the Rings Online turns two, special discount in celebration
Turbine’s lovely MMORPG The Lord of the Rings Online turned two yesterday, and in celebration you can get the game at a discounted price of $9.99 a month.
This is a limited time offer running from now until June 30 so if you have been holding off on trying it, go get the trial version, play it, and lock in this cheap price.
“Our anniversary is a chance for us to celebrate with our past and present players and enjoy everything that is special about Middle-earth,” said executive producer Jeffery Steefel. He also said this was a way to thank gamers for “their wonderful support with some special subscription options.”
The special pricing is not all that’s going on either.
In-game celebratory items include rare coins dropped from mobs which you can exchange for gift boxes containing various item, and current subscribers will receive a special in-game item called the Writ of Passage. It gives you 20 percent off when renting ponies – which can get a bit pricey.
