PSN launches ‘Apocalyptic Sale’, get all the savings here

Sony has launched an ‘Apocalyptic Sale’ on PSN, which slashes the price of several games set in ruined depictions of Earth and other planets. Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Oddworld, Tokyo Jungle, Dead Space 3 are among the deals.

    Sony has announced that The Last Guy will be released on the US PSN on August 28 and cost $9.99. The game will feature over ten cities for you to run around in and save everyone from catastrophe, or something. No European release date or price as yet. By Mike Bowden

    SCEE just confirmed that top-down monster rescue PSN game, The Last Guy, will release on all PAL territories this month. The game’s set in Asakusa, Los Angeles and London, and sees the player rescuing people from the clutches of zombies and other bad stuff on satellite photography maps. Press release after the break.

    This US PS Blog post has confirmed SCEJ’s The Last Guy the western release, saying the top-down rescue title will be hitting PSN “very soon.” There’s loads of detail through there on the game’s back-story – zombies, lasers, monsters – and a trailer. Go see.

    SCEJ’s dated The Last Guy for July 31 in Japan. The PSN release will cost 500 yen. The game’s looking funky, being based on satellite maps and a single man leading survivors to safe zones. No idea when this is going to break cover in Europe, if at all.
