Ryse: Son of Rome is set to launch alongside Xbox One on November 22, and today, Crytek has released a new batch of screenshots as well as another look at the box art. Gaze upon the lot below.

Ryse: Son of Rome has a couple new videos available over on Gamespot. We won’t embed those here, so you will have to click the link to watch. One details a bit of the game’s story, telling why Marius Titus became such a vengeful man while the other tells the story of Damocles, a figure featured in a legendary moral anecdote called “the Sword of Damocles”. The latter is toldf through animation. Ryse is a Microsoft-published Xbox One launch title due in November.

Ryse: Son of Rome was originally a first-person Kinect game, and after “toying with various ideas” how to blend the point-of-view “with the potential of Kinect,” Crytek created three different prototypes, with the winner resulting in the game coming to Xbox One at launch. The firm has also released a video documentary and it is posted below.

Crytek has released a behind-the-scenes showing the work going into Ryse: Son of Rome, such as the motion capture techniques. The Xbox One exclusive is slated for release in November.

Ryse: Son of Rome was confirmed today for Xbox One, it’s the game in the works at Crytek.
