New Dreamcast Collection trailer is a blast from the not-so-distant past
Sega’s dropped a trailer of its soon-to-be-released Dreamcast Collection, and boy howdy is it ever a collection of Dreamcast games. There’s Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi, Space Channel 5: Part 2, and – of course, the classic – Sega Bass Fishing. In other words, there’s something for everyone – so long as you fall into one of four incredibly specific categories. Check out the full thing after the break, courtesy of Joystiq.

Dreamcast Collection due late February

Sega has announced the Dreamcast Collection for PC and Xbox 360 is to be released next month, permitting those whose faithful consoles have curled up and died the chance to revisit several classic titles including Space Channel 5: Part 2 and SEGA Bass Fishing.

Sega Bass Fishing trailer shows inlets and “average size” fish
Oh yeah. This is the shit. A new trailer from recently gold Sega Bass Fishing gave us even more reason to be picking up the Wii game when it releases in March. The battle between man and fish. The unbearable tension in the line. The thrashing tragedy of the trapped beast. A man in a boat saying, “OK. An average size.” It doesn’t get any better than this. Watch this trailer, showing an inlet section of the game, and realise you have to own this.

The title, an update to the much-loved Dreamcast original, went gold yesterday, and wil feature four different types of bass. We’ll never get tired of that fact.

Sega Bass Fishing gold!
We’re not that excited really. Sega’s announced that the Wii version of the excellent Sega Bass Fishing has gone gold, meaning you’re soon going to be able to fish with your Wiimote with 20 types of lure for four different types of bass. It’s a Wii-based, fishy dream, which is unfortunately only American at the moment. We’ll try to get a European release date tomorrow.

Sega Bass Fishing Marsh video has us hooked
Just because. We’re not sure why anyone wouldn’t want this, especially if you remember the Dreamcast game. Variable conditions, four types of bass and 15 stages. It’s fishtastic. Sega Bass Fishing is out on March 28 for Wii, according to Amazon.
