Road Rash programmer considering Kickstarter for new sequel

Road Rash creator Dan Giesler has told fans he’s going to talk to EA about the rights to the combat-heavy motorcycle racer, and possibly take to Kickstarter to fund a new game.

Rumor: Possible video for Road Rash revamp hits the net

Remember back in August when EA Montreal VP Alan Tuscan told CVG that some of EA’s legacy games from the 16-bit era could make a return to the gaming spotlight?

Well, hold on to your hats kiddos, because it looks like some early video footage of a possible new Road Rash has landed on the internet.

CVG found the video, which is supposedly the work of EA Warrington, and shows concept gameplay of “bikers wrestling each other at high speed, and swinging baseball bats”

EA trademarks ancient classics, internet touches special place

EA’s applied for new trademarks for Populous, Theme Park, Wing Commander and Road Rash, as you can see on superannuation.

This has caused “the internet” to have a small paddy, and rightly so. Syndicate’s a little conspicuous by its absence though, isn’t it?

Worth noting that EA mentioned revitalising Bullfrog IP earlier this week.
