Puzzle Quest 2 for PSP has been canceled, according to Infinite Interactive CEO Steve Fawkner. According to a post on Facebook, Fawkner said: “After Firemint’s acquisition of Infinite, and EA’s acquisition of Firemint, so many people have moved around, that I find myself without enough manpower to finish it.” He goes on to say the cancellation had nothing to do with EA or Firemint, but that he is experiencing an “unfortunate logistical problem where key people are no longer available to work on it.” Fawkner said the game had one sound bug to be fixed, the game “would have been good to go.” Can someone out there help a brother out? Infinite Interactive announced today it’s bringing Puzzle Quest 2 to PSP by the end of the year.

D3 Publisher’s announced that Puzzle Quest 2 will release on DS on June 22 in the US.

D3′s press released Puzzle Quest 2, confirming the sequel for 360 and DS only.

The game will feature four classes – War Mage, Inquisitor, Barbarian or Assassin – and will task you with reclaiming “the once peaceful village of Verloren from the evil clutch of the demon Gorgon”.

GamiKaze has live the first shots of Puzzle Quest 2.

We missed this, again showing are ace press release-reading skills. At the bottom of this announcement was confirmation of a sequel to Puzzle Quest, the funny game Tom Bramwell likes and we keep meaning to play. No release date, details, etc.
