Q Games’ Dylan Cuthbert’s announced via Twitter that PixelJunk Eden Encore will release on PSN next week.
“You really don’t want to miss out on this one,” said the developer. “It’s jam-packed with cool!”
Cuthbert showed off Eden Encore at GDC last month.
The Japan-based boss confirmed yesterday that a demo’s in the works for PixelJunk 1-4, so hopefully we’ll get to see what’s next in the excellent strategy series very soon.

PixelJunk Eden Encore – new stages shown

Dylan Cuthbert’s just upped a ton of information on PixelJunk Eden Encore on the PS Blog, including shots of the game’s new stages.
“We have added five whole new stages, each one choc-a-bloc full of ideas and gimmicks,” said the developer.
“We also designed five brand new backgrounds for them (each background for a garden is programmed uniquely just for that garden’s style – just in case you hadn’t noticed that in the original), and Baiyon went away and created five brilliant new tracks of music to match it all up.”
Full thing through there. There’s no set date for the pack as yet.

GDC: PixelJunk Eden was profitable within 24 hours of launch
![]()
You’d be forgiven for thinking that iPhone was the only way to make any money in game after the first few days of GDC. Not so.
“PixelJunk Eden made its return on investment within 24 hours,” Sony’s Susan Panico told the GamesBeat crowd today as an illustration of what can go very right about PSN releases.
Of course, Eden was a bit of an easy sell considering the franchise, but still.
Eden Encore releases in April. Thanks, Joystiq.

PixelJunk Eden Encore out in April

Q Games’ Dylan Cuthbert’s confirmed that PixelJunk Eden Encore will release next month.
“Eden Encore will be coming out very soon in April,” said the developer on the PS Blog.
“Get ready for zero gravity, mirror worlds, all new music from Baiyon, and we’ve added something extra special at the end which is a Big Secret(tm) and is a present to all the fans.”
Cuthbert’s giving a talk on Eden Encore at GDC this week, but at the same time as the Kojima keynote, unfortunately.
