Sony has sent over a bit of PSPgo launch information to IGN that you may find interesting.
On October 1, 16,000 pieces of digital content will be available for the PSPgo in the US which includes:
- 225 games (combination of full PSP titles, PSN exclusives, UMD legacy titles and Minis)
- 2,300 movies
- 13,300 television episodes
- Gran Turismo, Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny and God of War: Chains of Olympus
- PlayStation Network Game Cards allowing the download of games like Gran Turismo, Daxter, Patapon 2, Secret Agent Clank and Twisted Metal: Head-on.

Patapon 2 associate producer Chris Hinojosa-Miranda has said that there is a “good chance” the rhythm franchise will continue.
“There’s such a critical love for Patapon, the characters, the story overall, and the music especially … there’s a good chance that the franchise will continue,” he said.
Speaking with Joystiq, Hinojosa-Miranda told the site that the development team is “listening” to requests from users asking for a downloadable PS3 version of the game featuring online modes.
Patapon 2 releases in the states on May 5.

Chris Hinojosa-Miranda has confirmed on the US PS Blog that Patapon 2 will be a digital-only release for PSP in the US.
Vouchers for the game arrive in retail on May 5 in PSP packaging, complete with an instruction manual and a download code. The game can also be purchased online on May 7 via PSN.
A video and more information are expected Wednesday.

SCEA’s confirmed last night’s rumour that Patapon 2 will be a digital-only release in America.
“We’re considering a digital-only format for the Patapon 2 release as a one time test case as we continue to explore consumer preferences for digital content,” SCEA comms boss Patrick Seybold said in a statement.
“The downloadable game will be available on May 5th at both retail and via the PlayStation Store. We remain focused on providing superior games and entertainment experiences in both the UMD and digital formats and are working closely with our partners to deliver the best PSP line up in our history.”
If you buy the game’s box at retail, you’re going to get a case and a download voucher.
The game’s already out in Europe.

Arstechnica’s rumouring that Patapon 2′s to be a UMD-less affair in the US.
That report claims retail cases will be empty, instead containing a download voucher.
There’s no official word from Sony as yet, although it’d be about as surprising as June following May were it true.

Patapon 2 will be hitting America shores sometime soon, and SCEA’s celebrating by releasing Sackboy costumes for LBP.
An exact date to expect these cute little eyeballs hasn’t been given yet, but Sony promises more info in the near future.
Patapon 2 will have multiplayer, double the missions of the original, more bosses and troops, and a revamped Patapon evolution system.

According to a Sony Europe PSN release schedule obtained by videogaming247.com, Patapon 2 will be available for download for PSP from the European PlayStation network on February 19.
Patapon 2 was released in Japan last year but so far no Western date has been forthcoming until now.
No price is available at this time.

According to this PSP World story, the latest Famitsu contains a Patapon 2 announcement.
The PSP RTS sequel is yet again being developed by Pyramid and produced by Japan Studios, the same company responsible for the Loco Roco series.
That’s it for now, but a western announcement in the coming week wouldn’t be outside the realms of possibility.
