A listing in the monthly Xbox Live Rewards roundup lists NBA Live 13- Digital, and NBA Live 13- DLC. EA hasn’t announced a release date for the title, and just yesterday, it was reported the team behind it is working hard on getting it to beta. The game is rumored for an October release, and while EA hasn’t said whether the game will be a physical or digital release, the firm is bullish on digital as noted in its last financial call to investors. Those wondering why there hasn’t been much from the EA camp regarding NBA Live 13 need not worry: it’s still in the works. Speaking with Kotaku, an EA Sports representative said plans are in place for “a very aggressive launch plan,” and the developers are “focused on bringing NBA Live back in a big way.” While an exact release date other than fall hasn’t been provided, EA Sports said Tiburon’s “working hard to get the game to beta, and we’ll have a hands-on experience later this summer.”

EA Sports has explained the notable absence of NBA Live 13 at this year’s E3 Expo, stating that the title “deserved its own time” and will be shown at a later date.

EA Sports confirmed the resurrection of its basketball hopes during the E3 press conference today, reiterating that NBA Live 13 is on track for release as part of its northern autumn line up. No word on NBA Elite; looks like that one’s gone for good.

EA has announced NBA Live 13 will be released this fall, a day after Kyrie Irving tweeted yesterday the game was in the works while visiting EA Tiburon during the All-Star Weekend in Orlando, Florida.
