Monster Hunter 4 screenshots have been posted to the official website by Capcom. If you head through the link to look at the small 3DS shots, you will notice monsters such as Garara Ajara and Kunchuu – both of which are new to the series. The battlefield “Unknown Sea of Trees is also present along with the Charge Axe. Monster Hunter 4 is out this summer in Japan. Thanks, Gematsu.

Japanese magazine GameLab posted a rumor that Monster Hunter 4 was delayed from March 2013 into summer so that development on a Vita version could be started. Capcom, has responded to the claim, and you may wish to grab a tissue just in case the news pleased your inner monster slayer.

Capcom has slashed its sales projections for the financial year ending March 31st 2013. The move comes following weak sales of Resident Evil 6, as well as a release date slip for Monster Hunter 4 that will see it miss this financial year. The report suggests that Capcom had high hopes for the 3DS title, but the game’s delay has now lopped off a sizeable chunk of its forecast.
