Activision’s market share hit 19.5% in 2012, Call of Duty top franchise last seven years
As part of its slide presentation to investors during its financial results yesterday, Ubisoft revealed its current market share among boxed game compared to competitors Activision, Take-Two and Microsoft. It seems that during FY2012, Activision had the highest share with 19.5% of the boxed market cornered.

Smartphone and tablets capture 8% of US gaming market, analyst firm claims
A report by research firm Flurry has claimed that revenue from iOS and Android games “spiked significantly” from 2009 to 2010, contributing to a rise of 3 percent in overall US market share. It has graphs, and everything.

EA market share drops 3% in Europe
It’s the third quarter financial release that keeps on giving. EA showed off market share for the US and Europe as part of its figures statement yesterday, revealing its slice of the European games pie dropped to 16 percent in the three months ending December 31, compared to 19 percent in the previous year.
American share as up slightly, however, to 20 percent from 18 percent previously.
