Lanning confirms Oddworld title
Speaking to GI, Lorne Lanning’s confirmed that he’s involved with a new Oddworld game.
“I can confirm that we’re working with Jeff on Oddworld stuff, but that’s all I can say at this time,” he said.
His comment comes after Maxis co-founder Jeff Braun told a seminar at Wilfrid Laurier University that he was working with Oddworld Inhabitants on a new title in the series.

Maxis co-founder working on new Oddworld game
According to this Destructoid report, Maxis co-founder Jeff Braun has confirmed involvement in an upcoming Oddworld game.
“They’re such a talented group of people,” he said of the series’ creator, Oddworld Inhabitants, “and I really trust their ability to create compelling content.”
Braun apparently said the game is “years” away.
The source for this is here, but we couldn’t get it to load.
There hasn’t been an Oddworld title since 2005′s Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath. We seriously though this stuff was dead and buried. Shows what we know.

Sims co-creator joins Red Mile
Jeff Braun, the other Sims creator, has joined Red Mile as a strategic advisor. He said his ears pricked up about the company when it inked the deal to publish Sin City.
“Red Mile got my attention when it licensed Frank Miller’s Sin City,” he said. “The opportunity to work with a company that has the rights to such an influential Frank Miller property is very compelling. The next big challenge for Red Mile will be to turn this property into a triple-A game and make the transition to a top-tier publisher. I believe their development strategy, in addition to the management experience of Glenn Wong [ex-head of EA Canada - Ed], are key steps toward achieving this goal.”
Braun’s been around for almost 20 years. His career began when he co-founded Maxis with Will Wright in 1987.
