BT Games, a South African online retailer, has listed an HD collection for Jak and Daxter on PS3. While nothing concrete has been announced by Sony, a source close to the matter hinted to Gematsu back in May that a “dark, dirty, and dangerous” collection was in the works. That hint, just so happens to be the name of a mission in Jak 3, which Naughty Dog released on PS2 in 2004. While BT Games notes the price and date for the collection are TBA, a placeholder date of January 20 is listed. We’ll be sure to send a mail on this. Thanks, Gematsu.

Naughty Dog’s Arne Meyer has revealed to EGTV that the studio would like to work on a PlayStation 3 version of Jak and Daxter. Massive fan demand for the game comes as the developer ramps up on work for Uncharted 2.
“Well we would like to be able to work on it”, said Meyer.
Although he does insist that – for now at least – Uncharted is the main priority at Naughty Dog.
“We definitely hear a lot from our Jak and even Crash fans from a long time ago, um, and we really hear those things and you know we’d love to be able to be working on a new Jak for them at some point so, that might be in the cards but right now we’re really sort of focused on working through [Uncharted].”
The duo have a new PSP game coming this year in The Lost Frontier, although that is being handled by High Impact Games.

Sony’s just announced Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier for PS2 and PSP .
The duo travel across “mysterious lands” and “take to the sky” in the game, in order to save their planet from destruction.
The Lost Frontier takes up where the original trilogy left off, with the duo striking out on a journey to help their pal Kiera become a sage.
The new game contains five different aircraft in which to battle sky pirates, along with a new weapon called the Gunstaff, which transforms into other weapons.
Expect to see it at retail this fall.
