The sleuth also turned up mention of it on a tester’s Facebook page. Licensed tie-ins and re-skins are quite common for popular mobile and social games, with Angry Birds doing Star Wars, for example.

Imangi Studios has announced Temple Run 2 is now available for Android and Kindle devices. The game, which released on iOS a week ago, was downloaded over 20 million times in its first four days on the App Store, and has played 210 million times for a total of 1,775 years of gameplay. You can download the game yourself for free on Google Play, Amazon Marketplace, and the App Store.

Temple Run 2 was downloaded 20 million times during its first four days of availability, according to developer Imangi Studios. The endless runner was the App Store’s top free application within eight hours of launch and is apparently the third highest-grossing title at the moment. It’s been played 210 million times for a total of 1,775 years of gameplay. The orignal Temple Run managed 170 million downloads to date across various platforms; the sequel is due on Android this week.

Imangi Studios has teamed up with Disney Pixar to produce a sequel to the popular iOS app Temple Run, based on the upcoming animated feature film Brave.

The Android version of Imangi Studios Temple Run has been downloaded more than 10 million times since it launched three weeks ago. The game was released on iOS last year and has since been downloaded over 36 million times on the format.
