High Voltage working on solving multiplayer issues with The Conduit

Jaramiah Severns, associate producer for The Conduit, has acknowledged some of the mutiplayer issues consumers have reported with the game, and promises that High Voltage is working with Nintendo on a possible fix.
“We have received a few emails from fans regarding multiplayer snags and I assure we’re working hard to fix those issues,” he said in a statement.
“It’s difficult to address “glitches” post-release, but we’re working closely with Nintendo to come up with potential solutions.”
Nintendo usually doesn’t allow developers to patch games after release, but the recent firmware update to fix Wii Sports Resort in Japan proves that it can be done.
Thanks, GoNintendo.

The Grinder is full of creepy crawlies to annihilate

The Grinder, High Voltage’s Wii-exclusive FPS has you fighting against loads of creatures like zombies, vampires, and werewolves as a professional monster hunter.
D’toid got a brief hands on with the game at E3, and describe it as having a bit of a “southwestern almost cowboy kind of feel” to it, and the demo had over 150 enemies on-screen that could be killed in one big blow.
Fantastic. Sounds like another one of those “frustration” games to put on your list.
Man of the house or lady make you mad? Go play The Grinder, we reckon.
More through the link with tons of screens.

High Voltage decides on Conduit publisher, likely Sega
It’s been quite a long month, but a little FTP excursion by IGN may finally have uncovered The Conduit’s shadowy publisher.
According to the site’s report, Sega recently snuck a “The Conduit” folder onto its public FTP site, hinting strongly that the house that destroyed Sonic will publish High Voltage’s mega-hyped Wii FPS.
Apparently, an official announcement is due later this week. Riveting.

The Conduit a first-party Wii game? Nope
Cammie Dunaway apparently called High Voltage FPS The Conduit a first-party game in the Nintendo of America press conference this morning, sparking a flurry of rumour about whether or not Nintendo’s to publish the game.
Basically: it isn’t. Joystiq’s been emailed by the developer to say so. Glad that’s cleared up.

The Conduit to support 16-player multiplayer, uses WiiSpeak
High Voltage has just announced that Wii shooter The Conduit will feature 16-player multiplayer and use WiiSpeak, so players can talk to each other in-game.
We wish there was more to say. But there isn’t.

First Conduit footage shows teh real next-gen Wii shooting
Colour us surprised. The first footage of High Voltage shooter Conduit looks pretty cool, no question. High Voltage has only shown a tech demo of its work up to now, so it’s good to see things coming along. The title doesn’t have a publisher yet, which is rubbish, so someone get on and sign it. After the link.
