Kenny Loggins and 40 Green Day tracks hitting Rock Band 3 next week
Kenny Loggins movie title tracks and a bevy of Green Day tunes are heading to Rock Band 3 next week. Kenny Loggins tracks “I’m Alright” from Caddyshack, and “Footloose,” from, well, Footloose, will be available alongside tracks previously only available as part of the Green Day: Rock Band disc.

Green Day incarnated as pigs in Angry Birds Friends
Green Day and Rovio have teamed up to promote the band’s upcoming new albums through the medium of Angry Birds Friends. The trio appear as pigs, and you can hear some songs. This is gaming in 2012. No more Green Day DLC coming to Rock Band – for now

Chris Foster, project director for Green Day: Rock Band, has revealed that due to the creation of the game, more DLC from the band will not be coming to the Rock Band franchise.

Rock Band: Slipknot, Green Day, Simon and Garfunkel

An eclectic mix of tracks are headed your way in the next two weeks, Rock Band players.
First up are songs from Slipknot along with Simon and Garfunkel on December 8 and 10 for Wii/Xbox 360 and PS3, respectively.
- Slipknot – “Duality”, “Psychosocial”, “Sulfur”
- Simon & Garfunkel – “I Am a Rock”, “The Sounds of Silence”
- Lights Resolve – “Dreaming of Love” (360 and PS3 only)
Next we have Green Day, which will arrive on December 15 and 17 for Wii/360 and PS3, respectively, with the following songs: “Christian’s Inferno,” “Last of the American Girls,” and “¡Viva La Gloria!”.
Each track will run you $1.99/£.99/€1.49/160 MS Points or 200 Wii Points.
The Slipknot and Green Day packs will run you $5.49/£2.49/€3.99/440 MS Points for Xbox 360.
Never thought you would see a 60s folk duo on the marquee alongside of punk and masked rockers did you? We didn’t either.

Green Day, Marilyn Manson, Slayer land on Rock Band next week

Harmonix and MTV Games today announced that three exclusive tracks from Green Day, as well as eight songs from artists performing at the RockStar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, will be added to the Rock Band Music Store next week.
Here’s the list:
- Behemoth – Conquer All
- Black Dahlia Murder – What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse
- Cannibal Corpse – Hammer Smashed Face
- God Forbid – Empire of the Gun
- Green Day – 21 Guns, East Jesus Nowhere, Know Your Enemy
- Job for a Cowboy – Embedded
- Marilyn Manson – Disposable Teens
- Slayer – Black Magic
- Whitechapel – This Is Exile
Tracks will be available for purchase as part of the Green Day Pack (440 MS Points, $5.49), Mayhem Pack (1,080 MS Points, $13.49) or individually (160 MS Points, $1.99) for Xbox 360 and PS3 July 7 and July 9, respectively.
Wii tracks are individual only (200 Wii Points).

Green Day heading to Rock Band on July 7

Harmonix and MTV announced today that Green Day will be landing on Rock Band July 7.
The first bit will be a three-pack consisting of 21st Century Breakdown tracks 21 Guns, Know Your Enemy, and East Jesus Nowhere.
“We are excited to be working with MTV and Harmonix,” said Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong. “They are leaders and visionaries in the world of music and video games, and Rock Band is a really cool way for fans of all ages to experience our music.”
Additional Green Day songs and projects will be announced at a later date.
