A report on Develop suggests Disney is poised to fill-out purchased UTV, the parent company of Ignition, for $454 million.

Latest El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron video focuses on story
Ignition released a new El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron trailer Comic-Con, which highlights the game’s story and gorgeous graphics. It’s posted below, courtesy of Gematsu. El Shaddai is out in the US on August 16, and September 9 in Europe on PS3 and Xbox 360.

PSA: El Shaddai demo out now on console networks
Hit up the US PSN or Xbox Live today and you can grab a demo of Ignition’s stunningly beautiful action game, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron.
The game features badass angels beating things up with a variety of unique weaponry, and has become a sort of cultural force in Japan. Probably worth a look, then.
El Shaddai is due in July in the US, and September in Europe.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron hitting US in July, UK in September
UTV Ignition Games today announced its action-adventure title El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron will be available in the US on July 26 and in the UK and European territories on September 9.

Ignition Entertainment’s Shane Bettenhausen has told Gamasutra, that the development team has a bit of fun basing El Shaddai on the biblical text of the Book of Enoch.

Takeyasu Sawaki sticking with “Japanese conventions” on El Shaddai
Ignition Entertainment’s Takeyasu Sawaki has said he doesn’t want his latest game to be suited to a Western Audience, and is instead choosing to “embrace Japanese conventions” with El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron.
