Distance: new gameplay footage smells like WipEout, TrackMania
Distance is the Kickstarter-funded racing game from Refract Studios that sees futuristic cars racing around Tron-inspired worlds. It mixes WipEout’s velocity and TrackMania’s stunts into one lovely-looking mix. The team has released some GDC gameplay footage, and we’ve got it right here.

Steam Greenlight adds fifth set of games and software titles
Valve has announced the fifth set of games and software titles to be released through Steam Greenlight. Software Black Ink and Driver Fusion are now available as are the games: Anodyne, Distance, Evoland, Huntsman:The Orphanage, Kingdom Rush, Legends of Dawn, Organ Trail: Director’s Cut, Receiver, Surgeon Simulator 2013, and War Thunder. Distance Kickstarter stretch goals revealed
Distance, the futuristic racing title from Refract Studios recently hit its Kickstarter funding target. ending on $161,981 of its initial £125,000 goal. As such, stretch goals have been detailed by the studio, including a randomised track generator.

Distance makes Kickstarter goal
Wipeout-a-like Distance has reached its $125,000 Kickstarter goal with two days still on the clock. Just a few days ago, the team at Refract Studios weren’t certain the futuristic arcade racer would make its funding target, but a last minute push seems to have done the trick. The Linux, Mac and PC effort is due in August 2013. Visit the Kickstarter page to get on board.

Distance Kickstarter: new gameplay trailer is WipEout with flying
Distance is the futuristic racing game for Windows, Mac and Linux from Refract studios, that promises to fill the void left behind by the closure of WipEout team Studio Liverpool, and the notable absence of F-Zero. The studio has released a new gameplay video to give its Kickstarter campaign a boost. It’s sitting at $98,901 of its $125,000 goal with four days to go. Check out the new footage below.
