Sine Mora has been one of the most discussed scrolling shooters of the generation, so it’s interesting to hear that the game’s creative director Theodore Reiker has left developer Digital Reality to form a new studio – Prior Games. The developer has confirmed that he’s teaming up with another Japanese studio to release a new shooter in 2014.

Sine Mora launched this week on PC, and to celebrate Kalypso Media Digital and Digital Reality have released a lovely PC launch trailer. The PC release supports full 1080p at 60 FPS, and for the next 50 minutes, you can get it for 10% off on Steam for $8.99. It will run you $1 more after the promotional sale ends. Digital Reality has announced that Sine Mora, the shoot’em up based on time manipulation co-developed with Grasshopper Manufacture, is to be an Xbox Live Arcade exclusive with Microsoft as its publisher.
Sine Mora is a diesel-punk shmup with scaling difficulty, containing both a Story and Arcade Mode with over 60 combinations of planes, characters and time manipulation devices and scaling difficulty.
A release date and price will be announced at a later date.

Grasshopper’s released a couple of screens and video for downloadable title Black Knight Sword. The game sees you, a black knight, team up with a sword spirit to take down a princess. The game is being made as of a continued collaboration with Digital Reality: the two are currently making Sine Mora together. You can get the video below, via D’Toid, with shots at the link. It’ll release on XBLA and PSN, but no date as yet.

A teaser video for Grasshopper Manufacture’s PSN and XBL shooter Sine Mora has been released. Co-developed at Digital Reality and scored by former Silent Hill man Akira Yamaoka, the “diesel punk” game has plenty of floating robots with octoarms, and massive trains and planes that do things only a fantasy setting such as this would allow. While the video doesn’t show any real gameplay, it does show off enough in-game footage to give you an idea of what to expect when it is released this winter. Thanks, GameSetWatch.
