Crysis 3 developer Crytek has been teasing its incoming DLC for the game through a series of images. The shots show tropical locations similar to those explored in the first game, and the studio is also asking fans to choose between two new weapons.

Crysis 3 may be getting some multiplayer DLC, should some new Achievements which have come to light be any indication. According to Xbox 360 Achievements, the content comes with four maps: Ascent, Coastline, Creek, and Crossing. It also contains the modes Frenzy and Team Possession, the later of which is said to contain flag points. A new weapon called the boat oar will apparently be included as well, due to the Achievement listing: Totally Oarsome – Get a kill with a boat Oar (Public Match only). While Xbox 360 Achievements is pretty much spot on with these things, nothing is official yet as neither Crytek nor EA have announced the DLC. Thanks, Joystiq.

Cyrtek and EA have announced that not only are pre-orders for Crysis 3 tracking 35% more than pre-orders for Crysis 2, but that over 3 million people downloaded the multiplayer beta. Folks were apparently enjoying the various videos for the game as well, because YouTube views hit over 16 million on the Crysis channel.
