Blizzard is currently working on Blizzard All-Stars and with it, will enter the MOBA space. It’s a corner of the market that has invested big on eSports, thanks to the rising popularity of League of Legends, Dota 2 and other strategy games. Blizzard All-Stars is the developer’s take on the MOBA genre. It was first revealed back in 2010 but aside from a recently leaked MOBA map called ‘Defense of the Alehouse‘ being discovered within the World of Warcraft expansion Mists of Pandaria, the studio has stayed silent on the issue, until now. It’s being “actively worked on” right now, according to Blizzard.

Blizzard and Valve have announced a mutual agreement over the use of DOTA. Valve will continue to use DOTA commercially, while Blizzard’s DOTA will be called Blizzard All-Stars.
