PopCap games are on sale through February 12 to celebrate the Year of the Black Water Snake, which should help take your mind off the fact Asian soothsayers predict a tumultuous period ahead. No matter: you can get Plants vs. Zombies, Bejeweled 3, Peggle Nights and many other goodies for 50% off. Screw the doom-mongers: Bookworm is waiting.

PopCap and Hasbro have teamed up to turn Bejeweled and Bejeweled Blitz into face-to-face games. Polygon reports Bejeweled will task players with matching tiles and come with a download code for Bejeweled 3, while Bejeweled Blitz requires the rapid creation of card stacks and comes with free in-app items for the Facebook game. It’s not the weirdest board game the industry has produced; have you seen Words with Friends? Ha ha, gosh.

Popcap’s confirmed on the US PS Blog the PS3 version of Bejeweled 3 will release on the US PS Store later today. The game will come with eight gameplay modes – including four secret modes – as well as 20 badges and 12 trophies. No price is mentioned, though.
