Battlefield 3: Close Quarters is now available on Xbox 360 through the XBL Markletplace and on PC through Origin. It contains four new maps, ten new weapons and if you complete 10 Assignments and you will earn five dog tags. Do not purchase if you are a Premium Member, otherwise you will be paying for it twice. Battlefield Premium launched during this year’s E3 and with it came exclusive access to Close Quarters (the upcoming DLC) early for those who paid up for the Premium service. Inside, Sam Clay shows you some gunfire in the new ‘Gun Master’ mode.

Just a friendly reminder to let you know that the Battlefield 3: Close Quarters map will be made available on PC and Xbox 360 next week, after its PS3 exclusivity period ends. Those with the Sony console can now download the pack which includes 10 new Assignments, five dog tags, and 10 new weapons you can use on all maps. Close Quarters will run you $14.99/1200 MSP. Upcoming DLC includes:Armored Kill in September, Aftermath this December, and End Game in March 2013.

Sounds like DICE intends to provide Battlefield 3 players for as long as possible, with CEO Patrick Bach telling VG247 it intends to give up to “12-18 months” worth of value in the shooter.

EA’s released the second video for the second Battlefield 3 expansion Close Quarters, showing off more of the tight gameplay that’ll come to the shooter this summer.

EA’s released the first trailer for the Close Quarters expansion for Battlefield 3, announced last week. The map shown in the trailer is called Ziba Tower, and as the video shows, the action is close and intense. Get it below.

The expansion’s out this June, with it out a week early for PS3 owners.
