Report: Argos pulls out of second-hand game market
MCV’s reporting UK retailer Argo has pulled out of selling second-hand game market. The company, which started accepting trade-ins and selling second-hand titles in July 2010 for all stores following a trial scheme in March that year, has instructed retail stores to stop accepting trade-ins or sales immediately.

VAT increase pushes up game prices in UK

Today’s 2.5 percent UK VAT increase to 20 percent has, rather obviously, had a knock-on effect on retail prices – including those of games.

Argos claims 60Gb 360 is no more
UK retailer Argos is claiming that Microsoft has binned the 60GB Xbox 360.
“We are very sorry but Microsoft have discontinued this line,” says the product’s listing (thanks EG).
Multiple reports are saying Microsoft is about to ditch the Pro and drop the Elite £60 to take its place.

Argos is offering Halo 3: ODST pre-orders for £26.99.
Get on it. It’s $60 in the States.

GTA IV retail reservation codes being sold on eBay
If you simply can’t get hold of a copy of GTA IV then several nice people on eBay are allowing you to bid for their reservations at UK retailer Argos for a small yet completely unreasonable fee.
