I’VE WANTED A SEQUAL TO SHOGUN SINCE I PLAYED SHOGUN 1 BACK WHEN ITS RELEASED, NO REVIEWS (EVEN IF THEY WERE BAD) WOULD DETER ME FROM THIS GAME

I want the game too, but it killed my PC on the demo. I think I’ll wait till I can afford to upgrade. My comp is running on fumes at the moment.

I guess all the time saved not fixing Napoleon and Empire was well spent.

Still I’m gonna hang back and wait for the post-hype judgement.

Empire was rated a solid 9 on metacritic. Probably the most inaccurately rated game before Mass Effect 2.

The score on vandal is 9.1, the 10 is incorrect (is the score of the users).

This game is great – definately agree with the reviews. So far i’d rank it about equal to Rome, and above everything else in the series except the original Medieval, which is still my favourite.

Clearly those who have ‘reviewed’ it, havent played it. Creative Assembly have become and EXTREMELY lazy developer since Sega bought them.

Lets look at the stuff the reviews DONT mention.
Its a PC game and it doesnt have AA support
Its a PC game and doesnt support DX11
1GB patch means that the game actually works (for most)
Dumbed down gameplay

The graphics are shocking compared to previous outings and considering this is all CA do, they really have managed to produce a huge turd here. Like and idiot I bought this despite after playing the demo and seeing how bad that was, saying I wouldnt.
And of course Eurogamer gave it a 9/10 – nice front page Shogun 2 advert on the front page btw, this week
5/10 only because I like the fog of war on the map, which makes no difference to the shitty AI because despite it being 1545, they have Satellite navigation to know where your units are!

@11 Same ol’ same ol’.

I managed to nip that urge in the bud by giving it to my brother for his birthday, so he can serve as a guinea pig in case it sucks.

Total War is probably the only game I can hate and love so intensely at the same time.

It could be so good if Creative Assembly got their heads out of their asses.

@11 Yes, because I need AA support when I’m running at 1440p. Honestly, anyone who has a decent monitor, and runs at a decent resolution, is just full of shit if they say they can see jaggies. Not to mention that AA is a performance hog.

Anyways, if it’s a must, it can always be forced via the Nvidia Control Panel.

Learn to read the damn notes, a DX11 patch is coming.

There will always be haters because they didn’t like certain aspect of a good game. Sorry, that should be enough hay for the troll to fire. :]
