Tomb Raider: Reflections has been trademarked by Square Enix in Europe, and the listing is dated November 12. The listing was dug up by Junkie Monkeys. This is the second time the listing has appeared, and we still have no idea what it’s for. This week, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition was listed for PS4 by Amazon Italy and Square Enix has suggested folks “keep an eye on any major gaming events happening in early December,” teasing a possible reveal during the Spike TV VGX awards on December 7. Tomb Raider will be released on Mac later this year courtesy of Feral Interactive. Pricing, system requirements, multiplayer details and a mini-site dedicated to Tomb Raider for Mac will be revealed closer to the release date. A trailer announcing the Mac version is below, and for those of you who played it on consoles and PC, it will look rather familiar.

Tomb Raider co-writer and BioShock 2 scribe Susan O’ Connor has given an insightful interview into the game writing process, in which she discusses the issue of violence in games. Connor has suggested that on one hand violence can be in a game for no good reason, but when written well it can help flesh out a character.

Square Enix is feeling quite generous at the moment it seems; its offering Tomb Raider at 50% off on Steam, which depending on territory could be as little as $25. It’s also knocked 50% off the Tomb Raider Collection, a sizable bundle with every PC release to date, although not DLC. The sale is available until 10:00AM PST on Monday.

Despite a less than stellar promotion period, Dead Island: Riptide has debuted at number one in the UK games chart. The zombie title appears to have accumulated less than half the launch week sales of the original game, but still manages to come out on top.
