Curve Studios’ stealth-puzzle-platformer, Stealth Bastard, has a new name for its Vita release. It will now be called Stealth Inc.- A Clone in the Dark. The name change was derived from a contest earlier this month. The two winners, who picked the game’s title and subtitle, won a free copy of the game and their names in the game credits. Upon release, players will get to try their hand at 80 levels with a “steady difficulty curve that gradually ramps up” and eight unique tgame worlds.” Additional features such as un-lockable gadgets, speedrun leaderboards and a level editor are also included. A release date has not been set.

Stealth Bastard hitting PS3 and Vita this summer

srealth bastard

Curve Studios’ stealth-puzzle-platformer, Stealth Bastard, is coming to PS3 and Vita this summer. The game stars a character born in a cloning lab, who is trapped in a network of “dastardly chambers,” filled with booby traps and robots. Players must sty out of sight and escape. Players will be privy to a “steady difficulty curve that gradually ramps up across 80 levels, spread over eight unique worlds.” Additional features such as un-lockable gadgets, speedrun leaderboards and a level editor are also included. Plus, players can also help rename the game so it’s less profane to those who are sensitive over the word bastard. Get more information over on the PS Blog.

Stealth Bastard reaches 30,000 users in one week

20111114stealthbastard

Stealth Bastard, the first, free entry in a new genre dubbed Tactical Espionage Arsehole, has drawn 35,000 users since its release just one week ago.

Each of those players has died an average of 35 times, which director Jonathan Biddle calls “hardly vini vidi vici”. Presumably he’d like us to die more.

From Fluidity and Explodemon developer Curve Studios, the game boasts rapid-fire stealth action and a bewildering variety of nasty traps. Download the PC-exclusive Stealth Bastard for free from the game’s website.
